High School Safety Protocols

• Any child not currently attending high school must be accompanied by an adult for admittance to any event hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center. This applies to all students in Pre-kindergarten through 8th Grade and children not yet enrolled in school.

• Any high school student must present their school ID if using a student ticket for entry to any event hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center.

• Metal detectors and/or handheld security wands may be utilized at any event hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center.

•  And, a stricter bag protocol will now apply to all events hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center including events such as Grandparents’ Day, concerts, athletic competitions, etc. Allowed bags include bags smaller than 4 by 6½ inches and clear bags between 4 by 6½ and 12 by 12 inches. Any bag larger than 12 by 12 inches is not allowed. Exceptions may be allowed for diaper and/or medical bags, and all bags are subject to search.
