OES Robotics

The Oakshire Robotics Program was created in the fall of 2018 with a select group of fourth-sixth grade students chosen from a large pool of applicants to compete in FIRST LEGO League Robotics Competitions.  The team was called the OES BearBots.  After a successful first year a second team was added for the 2019 season, the OES RoboCubs.  These teams have competed in both regional and state competitions for robotics.  Both have received several awards when representing Oakshire Elementary at both FIRST LEGO sanctioned competitions as well as the National World War II Museum's robotics competitions.  Team coaches are Mrs. Patty Authement, Ms. Mary Thibodaux, and Mrs. Andrea Martin.

Our first competition will be Dec. 7, 2024 at the Bayou STEM Coastal Qualifier at Fletcher Technical Community College.
